These seem quite a good idea, however, I have no more cupboard space for any more gadgets.

Not a gadget but I've just received my Lakeland catalogue and spotted the pan set a friend bought me as a housewarming present. He got me the whole lot! I didn't realise it was so expensive . It's kind of too late to say thankyou again!

Thinking about it, as well as the V Slicer thing, there are two others that I favour.

My RiceBoy, which makes cooking rice and vegetable far too easy. Especially the rice.

And I recently got a Bodum Assam Teapress. I was considering getting a normal tea pot and a strainer so that I could use loose leaves, but the teapress works like a cafetiere and means that I only need one item.

I couldn't live without my slow cooker or my food processor now. Oh and my mandoline.

My rice cooker is probably number one - makes perfect rice each and every time I use it. Which is great because I really like rice

The most used gadget is the microwave - we are forever nuking stuff (we make baby food, freeze it and defrost in the microwave whenever needed).

Number two gadget is probably the Breville liquidiser - a classique (BL1), if you're a liquidiser aficionado. We make quite the most delicious smoothies in it

Couldn't this section of DS use a lips-licking emoticon?

Can you recommend the vacuum sealer you have as all the one's we have looked at have all been to big.

Many thanks

I recently bought one of the little plastic microwave bowls complete with lid and handle from Lakeland. (It looks like a minature see thru saucepan with a lid).

I wish I'd found it sooner!

No more balancing a plate over a bowl to stop things splattering the roof of the microwave and no more burning my fingers trying to manoevre the thing out.

You can save about £50 if you buy one from Coscto. Personally, I don't eat a lot of fried foods and I don't have room for another big gadget like that.

My newest gadgets:
Tefal Quick Cup

and my Dualit Vario Toaster.

I also couldn't live without my slow cooker and hand held chopper/blenders.

I love kitchen gadgets, at the moment my favourites are: the George Foreman - great for sons to make themselves burgers, bacon butties etc.

Pressure cooker, 45 minutes after getting in from work you can have a great stew or soup on the table - great in the cold winter weather.

Steamer, everything cooked on one ring of the hob.

Tassimo, great for hot chocolate and even sons can make a decent cuppa with it.

My portable TV - means I can sit in the kitchen and watch all my soaps in peace while OH hogs the remote in the other room
