Hi

I purchased the LG 26LC2R from PixMania UK and it came with a continental adaptor, and a UK adaptor fix( so the continental adaptor can plug into it), but the continental adatpr doesn't fit in it, if people need a picture I will get one. Has anyone heard of the same problem? I seen it on a review on Amazon

I thought all Pixmania stuff came from France (I could be wrong)

Is the adaptor like THIS ? or THIS ?

Just don't try using a shaver adaptor!

I don't suppose the power lead plugs into the TV does it? (like a PC 'kettle' power lead) meaning you just use a UK lead.

It's all a bit bizzare?, Pixmania is part of the Dixons group - but it's an offence to sell anything in the UK without a fitted UK mains plug. Providing an adaptor which you have to fit yourself isn't an acceptable alternative!.

Incidently, Dixons are the most 'famous' company to have been prosecuted under these regulations.

Presumably because Pixmania is based in France, the regulations don't apply? (for example if you lived in France and ordered a TV from the UK, it wouldn't come with a French plug).

We received a batch of Sony Plasma sets a couple of years back, and Barcelona had accidently placed the wrong leads in the UK boxes! - a swift call to Sony Sales and replacement leads arrived by courier the next day!.

My satellite receivers only had a two pin plug, I got a travel adaptor from the local shop and plugged it into that.

Worked fine ever since.

Or you could just cut the continental plug off and fit a UK one with a 5 amp fuse!

At least that way you know that it will work without problem.

I have a 26LC2R and it's a standard IEC/kettle lead connection.
