...do you have in your tea or coffee?

I'm trying to cut down from two sugars in my tea to one - it's very hard. I had a cup of tea yesterday with no sugar in and although I drank it (didnt want to be rude as someone else made it for me!), it didnt taste nice!!

I haven't had sugar in my tea since I gave it up when I went on a diet when I was fourteen! I'm forty now

It took about a week to get used to the taste but I gag now when I drink tea with sugar in it by mistake. It's not so difficult to give up, you get used to it and you wonder how you could have possibly drunk tea with sugar in it!!

The sugar will just give you an immediate high which will result in a slump later on. Very bad for maintaining energy levels.

Lecture over

I shall try and perserve it for a week but to be fair, I only usually have one cup in the morning. Maybe another when I get home from work or late afternoon if someone is making one but its not every day.

I sometimes put a tiny amount of sugar in tea. But ground coffee isn't complete without a flat spoonful of muscovado sugar.

One in both tea and coffee. Tea without sugar leaves my mouth dry.

Used to have two in coffee, two in tea. I gave up sugar about two years ago, it only took me a week or so to adjust to the taste and now couldn't drink coffee or tea with sugar.

Can you try cutting down gradually? Maybe lose half a teaspoon every few days or so, let yourself get used to the taste?

Or what about switching to fruit tea or something for a while?
