Having been on the Easter Eggs thread on the GD forum, I just wondered who else out there is partial to Caramacs? Personally as soon as they're mentioned in conversation (as occasionally they are), I have an immediate craving and have to go get one from teh newsagents.

Anyone else share this sad addiction?

Coooeeee!! Thank you midiboy. The best way to eat them is to break them into smallish squares and let them melt slowly on the tongue! Orgasmic isn't the word. Abolsutely divine.

*puts on shoes and toddles off to find Caramac bar*

I didn't know they still made Caramacs! The name takes me back to my childhood when I used to go to stay with my Nan. She'd give me pocket money for sweets and after much consideration I'd always buy Old English Spangles with perhaps a Mint Cracknel - and my nan's favourite was Caramac and Newberry Fruit Thins.

they used to be much darker in colour and tasted much stronger - the ones you get now taste insipid to me.

Remember Mint Cracknell. A close second to Caramac. Yes, I have a sweet tooth.

Oohh...I don't know. You may not need a vial of insulin to accompany the newer bars but they're still fairly tasty

I'm sorry Midiboy - we seem to have hijacked your Caramac thread. Me and my Mint Cracknell comment! Will buy a Caramac for a taste of nostalgia next time I shop.
