Recording a 'series'

A few questions about this as i'm new to it. My first one is how this will work for a programme like Neighbours? I want to record the days episodes from UKTV Gold and i had the option of recording the whole episode or 'series' How many episodes will i get if i ask it to record the whole series for a programme like that?

Also, if i turn the digibox off by the plug and the ASDL is kept on through the night, will i still get my downloaded programmes?

You will get all of them as the recording is driven by schedule ids...though you should be aware that the disk space available will take this into account - the more series you book, the less space you will have.

The V+ box needs power to record...if the disk doesn't spin it won't record. You can put it in standby mode (power off on the remote) and it will wake up to record, but if there is no power to the box (turned off at the socket or on the back of the box) it can't do anything.

More good stuff to come, but how do you like it so far?

Its great so far, great to have Sky One, Paramount, UKTV Gold in the house again and the other channels.

The box i have is the black one with no buttons and the large green light on the the front. Its also weird to have BBC One Scotland and STV South avaliable in East London!

That's a "feature"

Not sure how that works...you should only get BBC One london from DSL (currently, but watch this space) and what ever DTT BBC variant is available over DTT.

Is DTT connected your box?

I also get the Scottish regional channels, up in channels 956 onwards. I have a Homechoice box, hoping to transfer to a Tiscali+ box soon.
