I've just bought a canon mv360i camcorder. and the shop wanted £23 for 5 tapes. i know i can get them much cheaper on ebay. but with so many makes what would you recommend would be the best?

panasonic make about 80% of all DV tapes - many of these are rebranded by others.

I stick with Panasonic...the main thing is to not mix brands... stick to one type. there are many websites saying this - if you mix tapes you can get more tape trouble due to the varying tape lubricants different brands use,,, this mixing can cause videohead clogging.

I'd also stick with shorter length tapes and not use LP mode as this can result in problems sometimes.
