Digital Switchover compatibility of device

Hi,

I have a Ferguson FVD100 combination VCR and DVD player. Will this device be suitable for recording Digital broadcasts on the VCR when the Digital switchover comes to my area?

Does it have a digtal (FreeView) tuner?, I wouldn't have thought so? - there were hardly any VCR's that ever did (I've never even seen one).

For normal time shifting, you want a PVR - perfect quality (well as perfect as the transmission) and simple to use - you'll never use a VCR once you've used a PVR!.

If you absolutely want to use your old VCR, buy a cheap FreeView box to use as an external tuner for it.
