Here is a question from the old school. If I were to burn a file to a disc via a Net MD recorder, would it be compatible with normal Mini Disc players?

Couldn't guarantee, there were all sorts of different generation of mini disk players, and the Net MD ones arrived quite late one, so they did a lot of things that were not compatible with earlier generations of players.

If you use a bog standard disk and not one of the 1GB versions and burn it as a standard ATRAC format audio track then it should work.

However some NetMD recorders I have seen allow use of 1GB disks and linear WAV format audio files, neither of which are compatible with standard players.
