Converting music TO OMA files??
a mate at work has got a sony mem stick and wants me to fill it with new tunes.
now, having plugged in and got ready to remove the stuff he had on it,i saw there were OMA files and consequently i've encountered troubles galore trying to work out how to convert mp3's into OMA files... any advice would be greatly appreciated,(and i've told him to bin the old stick and spend some money on a newer, more compatible one) ta,in hopeful advance

Bin it and tell him a magpie stole it. Then tell him to splurge out 20 quid buying a simple MP3 player you can use without jumping through hoops.
EDIT: You need the Sony SonicStage software to do anything with it. It's the Sony equivalent of iTunes but not as pretty or intuitive. Once you install Sonicstage you'll have the option of ripping your CDs. I think you may even be able to import shady mp3s with it these days, although you couldn't when it first came out. |
