Tagging MP3's so they work in all players
Hi all. I am confused on the two versions of ID3 Tagging.
What is the difference between ID3 v2.3 and ID3 v2.4? Which version should I tag with? Is the ID3 v2.4 compatible with all mp3 players? I have heard the iTunes is now using ID3 v2.4. Is this correct? Is this better option? I have over 86GB to tag and getting te wrong version now would be a pain. Thanks. |

Tag a few with different versions to see what does work,
before tagging 80GB... simple logic |

I use Tag & Rename to do mine and that's using v3 2.3 I think. And I have a 160GB iPod. The tags show up perfectly OK in iTunes and on my iPod.
So I wouldn't worry too much about it. |

Will ID3 v2.4 take off, or has ID3 v2.3 got the vote? I will be using Easytag for Linux, now also for Windows.
