ipod battery

my ipod battery is starting to go any advice would be good ,i would prefer to find someone in the inverness area

Depends on the ipod - some have to be sent away.
Maplin have selection of non standard batteries

Yes .... which version of the iPod are we talking about here.

Some are fairly easy to replace yourself ... you can pick the kits up to do it on ebay for not a lot of money (compared to sending it off to Apple or something).

I sent mine to a firm who replaced and fitted the new battery.

You can do a lot of damage if you try to do it yourself as everything's so intricate inside the i pod......

Indeed you can.

So, if you're not comfortable doing it, don't try it.

I replaced the battery in my wifes iPod Mini easily enough. It's not exactly tricky if you can hold a screwdriver and are happy tinkering with gadgets ..... as I am.

Dunno about the newer models .... I dare say Apple have made them harder to get into so than can fleece you when the battery starts to give up. There are guides to doing most models online. Have a google and if you don't like the look of what you find, send it off to have it done.
