How reliable is a "motion timer" on a digital camera?
It looks like just what I'm looking for: a timer that detects motion (or more to the point, motion stopping) and then takes a picture as the subject stops moving. I am currently using a crappy camera to take pics of myself for my website, but have to keep resetting the self-timer, getting back in position, picture taken, set the timer etc. Something like this would be great, meaning I could take many continuous shots without having to run back to the camera every time.
I've only come across them so far on Samsung cameras. Does anyone know anything about these timers? Are they are reliable as they seem to be, or do they hold pitfalls? Are they better than "burst" photography? Any insight appreciated. Thanx Stacey-Lynn |
