I setup my new Toshiba RD-XV47 yesterday with my Sky HD scart as the input. For some reason if I select "RGB" as the sky output there is a lot of ghosting on all the other inputs. So for instance, if trying to watch a video or using input 2, then a floating image of the Sky channel is there. Any idea why this is ? Output is also Scart. The spec says the sockets are both (in and out) 21 pin.

If I select "PAL" in the Sky menu instead of RGB then the ghosting is gone. When watching the Sky channel there isn't any ghosting even on the RGB setting, it is only when I try to watch another input on the Toshiba.

Is this likely to be scart related ? Any advice appreciated, thanks.

I would suggest trying changing your SCART lead, it may not be individually screened?.

Thanks, I will give it a go. Do I presume it is likely to be the Sky scart I replace rather then the DVD output one ?

As you're getting Sky picture on your DVD pictures, I would suggest the lead from the Sky VCR SCART to the DVD player.

As you have two leads, try simply swapping them over and see if that helps!.
