BB advice to Lisa before entering house

Judging by some of the things Lisa said about the other HMs not recognising what an incredibly difficult thing it was for her to enter the house at such a late stage, it sounds like she was pre-warned by BB that she would almost certainly face a degree of resentment and wariness etc. from the group. (And, let's face it, naturally so for our neurotic little lab animals.)

Do you think that BB also, therefore, advised her on the best way to try to settle into the group?

Lisa's behaviour since she came into the house seems entirely designed to heighten and provoke the group’s hostility and paranoia – to the point that it kinda feels self-defeating. Her ‘take no prisoners’- “I’m in it to win it”- parading her ‘outsider’ info on them - Steph doppelganger scary antics look almost deliberate (to the degree that there has been much ‘is she a plant?’ speculation). I think many of the threads on here about the other HMs response to this external threat are a bit harsh. Lisa’s entry into the house was never going to be easy for them, and she has done pretty much everything imaginable to make it even harder. It can’t be any huge surprise, then, that this has set off a chain-reaction of ‘bitching’ through which they hope to alienate the outside threat. Surely?

Yes, thank you Schnauzer, much more succinctly put!

Yep! Lisa doesn't do herself any favours. In the reward room yesterday afternoon all she did was talk about herself (and Ryan Giggs I suspect).Nush and Scott's eyes glazed over pretending to listen....they must find her so boring!!

Davina hit the nail on the head on Sat night when she said "Lisa doing what Lisa does best, talking about Lisa"

That is exactly all she does!!!!

That is precisely what they deserve - they are chickens. Lisa's introduction was presumably intended to bring some healthy tension and intrigue into the house and well, Lisa's tactics have been remarkably unsubtle. Rather than confront her, they spew venom about her in the most reprehensibly self-satisfied manner. They are genuine "chickens" - not one of them has any backbone at all.

Are you suggesting that chickens are invertebrates?

Shocked..

I was actually waiting for Schnauzer to retort on that one!

Ben4321, do you think BB encouraged Lisa to stir things up though? If so, I think they might have predicted that the HMs would respond in the way that they have and perhaps they should have done more to enable Lisa to protect herself from that? She's gone in there looking for a fight - and let's face it, she's no more 'open' with the HMs she has a problem with than they are with her...

I imagine that she's waiting for a confrontation scenario to present itself. Lisa may well fight in the open - but none of the others do.

In stark contrast to Nush and Scott's conversation that has kept us so riveted all these weeks......

But we've only got her word for that haven't we? No sight of any 'openess' or willingness to confront people so far, in fact, quite the reverse...

Who knows? Lisa may deliver on her promises. She may not. But if she is "all talk no action", that rather makes the others' behaviour towards her (already bordering on the obsessive) all the more negative. Her sole overt crime has merely been being a bit boring.

Maybe she doesn't realise that she's being bitched about with such obsessive zeal.......Perhaps if her brave "housemates" were to be more open about it we might see some comeback...

'I imagine that they're waiting for a confrontation scenario to present itself.'

In fact, each of the other HMs has talked openly at some time or another with other HMs about issues they have had with them i.e. Steph/Nush, Ray/Cameron/Scott, Cameron in BBA, etc. I do think you are being harsh on them - they have dealt quite well with issues of tension between themselves...

But the fact is they're ganging up on someone they consider to be an "outsider", someone who has had the audacity to invade their territory.

By the way, I wrote "I imagine that SHE'S waiting for a confrontation scenario to present itself." Please do not twist quotes to suit yourself.

Sorry Ben4321, I wasn't trying to pretend that it was a direct quote - I would have used speech marks for that... I was simply trying to point out that the same argument could be used both ways.

Actually, their bonding and endearingly coy chat during this past week has been the most interesting thing to happen in BB4 since the sad departure of Jon and Fed.
It's not bitching, and it actually involves SOME emotion, something which has been severely lacking in BB4.

Instead of bringing in Lisa, they should not have evicted Jon and Fed on the same week, thus the problem would have been solved. Only bring in a new HM if one walks or is expelled. Just plain dumb to do it deliberately.

Double Eviction and Instant Nominations = Stupidest Decisions in BB History. They just can't stop messing around with the format, can they?

If Cam, Steph, and Lisa are up, make this week's a Triple!

I couldn't agree more with this point.

As for housemates confronting Lisa - would you?

Her eyes are so shifty that they could start their own removal company
Don't forget that she can kill someone with two fingers as well

You must have been watching a different channel to me. I have seen Lisa playing people off against each other, trying to divide them, trying to turn Ray against the others, playing "Poor me".... Shall I go on?

Has this been *overt* confrontation?

That's what I'm talking about.

her tactics were never going to work she is trying to play one group off of another that worked for Jade and nasty nick because no one was talking with each other but this lot had her worked out the very next day. because all they talk about is her.

and she has been "dead woman walking" for the last 9 days.

With Lisa being the only one in bed in the early hours this morning .....her web was unwoven!

They now all know exactly what has been said to each other and shes had it.None of them like her especially after last nights little revelations..Ray even said out right he was putting her up for eviction today and got told off for that..Her plan has backfired big time.

I think it's clear that Endomol sent Lisa in as a sacrifice, to stir things up, knowing that outsiders have no chance of staying around for very long. And their plan has worked, probably better than they expected, because Lisa's inept performance has been an object lesson in how not to integrate yourself into an established group. Where tact, modesty and deference were required, Lisa has been overbearing, over-familiar and just plain bad-mannered.
She surely must have known that she would very likely be out the door after two weeks. Makes you wonder why she agreed to go in, some people are just desperate to be on telly I suppose.
