I am currently enjoying Mario Kart Wii and Bioshock, both equally fantastic.

Better late then never

Im still hammering BF: Bad Company on the Xbox 360 and am also finishing off GTA IV (second time), HVB and Super Stardust HD on the PS3 before I continue with MGS4.

Also squeezed in some Brain Academy on Wii.

I'm currently taking a rest period whilst waiting for the mammoth list of games in Sep/Oct/Nov

I'm still popping on Battlefield:BC Online now and again though.

Call of Duty 2 [XB360] on Veteran difficulty.

It is made by Infinity Ward [the COD 4 devs] not like Call of Duty 2 on the Xbox it was made by those turd makers Treyarch. So Xbox owners get shafted haha but Xbox 360 owners get the real deal hehe.

Call of Duty 2 [Xbox 360].
Call of Duty 4.

The only COD titles that should be owned on a console. The rest can more or less get ****ed. Now if it is the PC then go for them all as they are Infinity Ward developed.

Going through Killzone for the PS2, and really enjoying it.

Also playing Uncharted: Drakes Fortune to get the trophies (and also really enjoying!) and playing Soul Calibur 4.

Like you, I'm doing COD4 on Veteran and I've done all levels except for "No Fighting In The War Room" (and the plane level, of course!). I'm getting rather annoyed with the fact that you don't seem to get any checkpoints and I really want this done because it's a tidy 130 Gamerscore when I do!!! I'm already quite happy with myself though, there was a time when I would've comfortably predicted that I'd NEVER do this game on Veteran...

Waiting on Soul Calibur to show up from swapgame.

Im stuck on one shot, one kill, near the ferris wheel at the end. I just CANNOT seem to do it, and I cant find a decent place for cover! I get killed everytime

Really annoying me!

Funnily enough, I had an easier time with this on Veteran than I did on Regular. I know that makes no sense whatsoever, but it took me so many attempts the first time around, months ago. But I did One Shot, One Kill two nights ago in three attempts, I think it was? I was told that I should get down behind the dodgems thing and if you run round there you'll see there's a fence which means that nobody can spring you from behind. I planted all my claymores in all the places the enemies come from at the start and the ways they head through up the back, then positioned myself behind the dodgems right on the corner, so that I could get a clear shot at the first few waves. I then took out as many as I could as early as possible. Once I felt I was going to be soon overrun, I moved back round to the next corner so that my back was facing the fence I mentioned (which means I was facing the back wall of the area). I then went prone and waited- thankfully, no bugger actually showed up!!! My claymores all went off which meant a good few taken out by those, so it was just a case of waiting for the chopper to arrive. I then came out of prone, went towards the corner and faced the ferris wheel, took out anyone still in that area with my pistol, then just made a kamikaze run for the injured bloke and legged it to the chopper.

I don't know if I overcomplicated my explanation, but I hope that helps

The only bit I struggled on in that level was getting him in the Helicopter

Using my EPIC paint skills, I have illustrated the technique I previously explained. I hope you have a bit more luck now as I quite often hear people complain about how tough this is...

Xbox 360- Soul calibur 4 : exellent game really enjoying it at the moment.

PS3- Top spin 3 : unbelieveable realism for a tennis sim still getting used to the controls.

Same here. I was on veteran setting on that level. I got passed it eventually. It took me the better part of 90 minutes on that section alone. I was like Happy Gilmore at times with it. It is just that section of the entire game that gives me trouble on Veteran. All this sitting and waiting on the pick up from the choppa at the ferris wheel. The wee commie whores kept killing me or it was the bastard dogs that got me. I never killed the dogs normally as they kill the soldiers, but this time round they didn't and I had to contend with the commies coming in their thousands and several dogs as well.

The place where I hid was behind the Dodgem Car ride. There are some trees there, dont go too far behind the dodgems though as it is radio active. Hide behind one of the trees and just pop out slightly and use the lock on and fire and keep rapidly locking on and off so it goes to different targets every few seconds once each person dies that you shoot.

The commies go up onto the dodgem track, but they only try to hide behind one or two of the cars, they dont come all the way over and out to where you are. Sometimes to go round the side of the dodgems and to the back where you are [so watch your left side a lot while hiding]. And now and again pop out and fire at the ferris wheel from your left side as one or two guys stand on it, the chopper should arrive, it will land and you have about 30 seconds to get the other guy and get to the choppa. But dont make a run for it to pick him up as soon as the choppa arrives, you will get raped by the commies if you try this, I did. Instead keep shooting for ten to fifteen seconds longer after the choppa lands then they coast should be clear in the section your in, maybe one or two guys left but the yanks should take care of them. Grab MacMillan and then chuck him in the choppa and yir off home. But as you leave in the choppa if you have any flash bang grenades and normal grenades lob them [chuck them] at the commies below and shout: GET IT RIGHT UP YE, YA COMMIE BAMS. Make sure the flash bangs go first so as to stun them, then throw the explosive ones so as it should take two or three out at once as they are close together when the choppa takes off or is about to take off.

Just finished the original metal gear sold game for the first time and i am now hooked. I am currently playing through MGS2: Sons of Liberty. Near the end now, gotten to the bit where i need to get into core 2 (shoot the symtex sensors on the bridge)
I will then play through snake eater and start on guns of the patriots when it arrives.

Oh how I'd love to be able to play MGS again for the first time. You must be quite a rarity, getting to play the whole saga in sequence (well, from the PS1 onwards anyway) all together. I'm jealous

Still attempting one shot, one kill on vet on COD4, using dannyb0yuk's schematic, I seem to be surviving for longer!! , but still getting tagged at the last minute, especially by stray grenades the bugger's lob over the fence!

Also bought the Fable II Pub Games and am very quickly getting addicted, despite loosing a hefty amount of gold when I first played it!

That's very good. And I'll be using it whenever I get there

I have finally given in and decided to give veteran a go on COD. I knew there was a reason I didn't do it previously I have got STUCK, and I knew once that happened, that would be it!! But I am determined.
Well, you can always BUY replacement controllers...can't ya?
