We loved the show in our house! Reduced to tears laughing so much at some points!

Lynsey and Tamara were lovely but the men stole the show for me. The banter and competitiveness between Jonathan and Harvey was great... in the nicest possible way.

Jonathan in the kitchen was hysterical - and Harvey is quite a wit!

Jonathans meal was the best of the night I thought - it looked delicious - and a miracle that he managed to produce it given his kitchen disasters. Harvey was doing well with his menu too - until the desert!

Great show!

What a BRILLIANT show Come Dine With Me was last night

I started laughing when Jonathan mentioned that his stick blender had broken (memories of that from RSC in his G4 days ) and I laughed until the end credits rolled and even after that. Still chuckling away when I think of the show though.

Really showed Jonathan in a different light to his usual singing self and showed him as a great giggler and good for a laugh (fancy dress for Harvey's). He had a few disasters in the kitchen, but it never phased him at all and he just giggled his way through them and produced a great looking meal for everyone

This programme certainly showcased the Jonathan that his fans know and love as a guy who can laugh at himself and have a good time and not as a stuffy/posh 'opera singer' as some would have him made out to be - a real insight into the man himself at his best - fun-loving and ever so funny !!!

MC Harvey & Jonathan - well, they could be the next Morcambe & Wise if last night was anything to go by, both from 2 very different genres in music and getting on so well. It was a real pleasure to watch them bantering away with each other

Shame they didn't have an episode for each celeb and I would have hated to have been editing that lot if the stuff they cut out was half as good as what they showed.

Well worthy of a repeat I say as it certainly brightened up my night.

Jonathan is No 8 in the Classical Artist chart Sunday 20th April - which gives him 9 weeks in the Top Ten of the classical artists chart! 4 of those at No 1 and 4 in the top 5!

Fingers crossed he can stay top ten for one more week which would give him 10 weeks in the top ten of the classical chart.

and this lovely blog from Jonathan today lovely to read -sounding in great form -very exciting news about the tour

Quote:
“I am so busy and pleased that everything is going so well with my career at the moment. I love reading your reviews on the forum. And I find it really helps to know what you all think.
Come Dine With Me was so fun! I loved filming it. Making all the mistakes and producing as much smoke as possible!! I do have to say though, that the food I placed on the table was nice, and I would have loved to have won with it. But I am pleased that I came joint first and breast cancer care got £500 from it.
I have now filmed for a show called, Market Kitchen, off the back of the Come Dine With Me Show. And I had the opportunity to show my sugar spinning technique. With a professional chef. And she made a right mess. So I managed to show her up. It was so funny. It will be broadcast soon. I will make sure the date and time is on here as soon as it’s confirmed.
As for my music and singing, I have got some very exciting news to announce soon. There is a UK tour being finalised and I will be coming to a town/city near you soon. Once again, watch this space for the info. And priority booking for onliners.
Sorry it’s taken me so long to write this latest blog. I had a prize winners lunch the other day with a couple of onliners and they asked me to write more blogs. So this is the start of more regular blogs on here for you all to read.
So that's all for now. But I hope you’re all well, and just want to thank you for all you do for me.

Thankyou Jonathan x x

Some info on the City Showcase concert 5th June - thanks to Marian on the Official Jonathan site:

http://www.globalbuzz-sa.net/forums/...ad.php?p=77174

"Also Jonathan Ansell, former front man of X Factor “Popera” group G4, will be delighting audiences as he takes to the showcase stage. With G4, Jonathan achieved 3 hit albums, record sales in excess of 2 million and a sold out performance at the Royal Albert Hall. Since his departure from G4, a record label bidding war has taken place which resulted in a £1 million pound, 5 album deal with Universal Music Group. His first solo album ‘Tenors at the Movies’ was released last February and went straight to No.1 in the Classical Charts and No.9 in the Pop Charts. Promising to deliver G4 hits as well as material from his new solo album, Jonathan’s performance is one not to be missed."
