Just thought i'd start a thread on this to see what other people's views are. I've heard the new song on the radio and have to say it's absolutely stunning. I was surprised at first as it was very down tempo and a change from anything on their previous album.
I hope this is a big hit for them and if not, well who cares....they're still amazing.

I ... like it? I think... Actually I'm not too sure, for some reason I'm a bit disappointed in it.

It might grow on me

Trust me, give it a few more listens and you'll love it. I don't think anyone was expecting a down tempo track at all.

Their first album was pretty down tempo.

Have you got a link for it? Youtube or something?

The song is alright. It's a grower which is good.

The album, on the other hand, is pretty poor. It's lost everything that I like about Goldfrapp

Supernature wasn't that great, either. It sounded, in places, like a Kylie Minogue album!

The new album is a big let down for me I really like Goldfrapp, too.

I thought Supernature was an oustanding album. I also went to see them in manchester when they toured the album and i have to say Alison was just perfection.

Just out of curiosity, what is your fave Goldfrapp album and single?

Black Cherry is probably my favourite album. Supernature is good, don't get me wrong, but it's not as good as their 1st 2.

My favourite single is probably Twist. There's 3 songs on this album which are really funky electro and that's the Goldfrapp style I like (Train, Twist and Strict Machine).

With the new album there seems to be absolutely no 'electro' feel.

I'm with you on that...I thought Supernature was fantastic, definitely my favourite album (favourite tracks - You Never Know and Time Out from the World), followed by Black Cherry (favourite single - Strict Machine) . Felt Mountain was great in places (Utopia and Lovely Head) but there were a couple of tracks I didn't like (Oompa Radar and Deer Stop), although not as much as Slippage on BC .

Quite like the new track, her voice sounds great. I can't wait to hear the full album.

I love the new Goldfrapp album. Much better than the one-trick-pony that was Supernature. It's not quite as good as the mighty Felt Mountain but it's getting there.

I think that this song is a grower...I have only heard it once on Radio 1 and thought it was a bit boring.

LOVE A&E, and the video, even if the people trees ruin it a bit i think.

And I for one think the new album is amazing
Not as glam electro blah as SN but more back to Black Cheery/ Felt Mountain ish.

I loves it

Love the new song and the new album - This is the one they should have made after Felt Mountain.

I heard the remix of the new song first (Gui Boratto Remix) which was really good. Then heard the original and wasnt too keen, but after a few listens it really does grow on you. Im really undecided about the album, before I heard any new stuff I was expecting more electro stuff, but maybe a change is good?

Just heard the new album. Really good. Almost like Felt mountain. I'm shocked though that's it been leaked already. Whens it supposed to be released?

Late feb, 25th I think.

Some are suggesting it was leaked purposefully, and its not as high quality a version as the finished product will be.

Cologne Cerrone Houdini well sound amazing on CD
