As far as I can tell virtually none of the currently available receiver remotes' can control the EP30/35. It must use a new set of IR codes. (I spent ages downloading manuals in a vain effort to get my EP35 to work with my Sony amp.)

The only ones that do seem to be the new Yamaha range - VX-1800 etc.

What model Onkyo is it?

Pretty sure from the 705 upwards they come with Pre Pro/learning remotes with macro functions.

My 9 year old learning remote had no trouble with the Tosh HD DVD player the other week.

Does your remote not have a "learning" mode?

My Kameleon does but not the Onkyo LR. There's to many buttons on it that are not on the Kameleon plus it's smaller.

Anyone managed to find a code that works yet?

Had another go at it today and the EP-30 displays HD DVD when you press various keys on 2-3 of the codes but nothing more. Shame really as the rmeote works for Sky, Pioneer PVR, Sky+ etc.
