Another recording problem - this time on BBC4

I booked Vivaldi's Gloria on Sunday evening which was due to transmit 7 30 - 8 00. No other recordings were scheduled to start at the same time. When I tried to watch the recording this evening it started during the pre broadcast "commercials" and ended 2 minutes later at about the time I should think that the proper start signal for AR would have gone out (I'm on .21 and currently only recording using AR).

Can anyone else confirm that they had a problem with recording this programme or throw any light on what on earth might have caused this?

It looks as if the BBC are reproducing their performance with PDC on VCRs.

I had a similar problem with a BBC4 programme scheduled to start later that night (at midnight). It produced a 1-minute recording of the end of the previous programme, which had evidently overrun. Seems the AR wasn't working.

However, I got the actual programme as well, as a separate recording, probably because it was series-linked. You win some...

Incidentally, the two recordings had slightly different titles - the first began "10" and the other "Ten", though both had the same EPG entry "Ten Things You Didn't Know About..." I suspect the first had the title of the previous episode, from the SL schedule, though it picked up the info from the current EPG.

oooh, if only I had BBC4 to record! I lost it after the update and haven't managed to retrieve it since!

If you provide your postcode, then we can give you manual tuning instructions.

Thanks - it's OX4 - I tried re-tuning a couple of nights ago but it still hasn't picked it up - I know it's got quite a low signal strength in the Oxford area but all the other associated "weak" channels came back ok and I had it fine before the update! odd.
