Sagem MyX-5 Data Cable Driver

I've just recently purchased a data cable driver for this phone so that i can upload images and ringtones. however i cannot seem to get the computer to recognise that the phone is there. do i need a driver to get the lead to work? if so does anyone know where i can get one? Please help

hav u downloaded the software 'my pictures and sounds' from any of the sagem websites? ( www.sagem.com www.sagem-online.com www.planetsagem.com ). if u havent, thn tht is probably the reaso y the comp wont recognise it. if thts not the case, thn sorry, but i dont no. try emailin sagem.

I have also purhased an MYX-5 data transfer cable, and I have downloaded the software from Sagem to do the transfer, but my PC still won't recognise the phone? It says no phone is found on the com port but the pc says the com port is working fine? Any ideas / help would be much appreciated.

u hav opened te software rite? u need to open it up, where the software will do an automatic detection, and should find your fone. if you hav done that, then i sorry but i dont think i can help you. try emailing sagem.

Yes i have loaded and opened the software downloaded from Sagem I have still not managed to get the software working with my PC, although I have managed to get it to work on another pc using windows 98...so i'm wondering if it's an XP issue (I also tried another pc on XP and got nowhere with the software) ? XP doesn't complain when you loadthe software...but that could be the problem?

it could be that. i used to have that trouble with an older version of the software, but it seems to work now with version 7.02. it could also be that you havent downloaded the latest driver updates from microsoft. you could try another software tho. go to www.mysagem.co.uk . they have different transferring softwares, and also a huge selectin of ringtones an wallpapers . hope this helps.
