firstphoneshop.co.uk
Hello,
I recently ordered a car kit from firstphoneshop.co.uk for about £15 (cheap one that goes through stereo) and paid extra for the next day recorded delivery option. Nothing's turned up after 2 days of the order (I'd expect it today) and the site looks a little suspicous. The main problem is that the contact details page has removed their phone number and business address to I can only use a form to submit an email to them. Little dodgey really and worrying as they now have my credit card details (used my Egg card as they seem good against fraud etc.) Anyway, my questions are 1) Has anyone ever used this company and was it successful? 2) Does anyone know there contact details other than the crappy for or email? 3) Does anyone know how I can get hold of their phone number or address as all I have is their domain name. (the whois info just has the registering persons name and no address). I just want to find out what's happened to my order and if it's some bogus site robbing card numbers or not.... Thanks

Damn it! I even replied to the DSpy forum about what to do! (blush)
. I thought the name sounded familiar but when I did a digital spy forum search before ordering nothing turned up so I went ahead anyway. (woops)Anyway, I just called my credit card company and cancelled the payment and the entire account, cut the card up and that should stop it. They have also advised me to go to the Police too! PAH! I really wanted one of those things too, does anyone know where I can get a simple handsfree clip on device for my phone that puts the phone through the stereo?? Thanks for you help!

Would anyone that has tried to purchase items from firstphoneshop.co.uk private message me please?
If you have given your payment details and received nothing please let me know via PM asap. Thanks ps I have contacted firsphoneshop's domain providers and am contacting Thawte about the use of their services being done in this way. |

I placed an order with firstphoneshop.co.uk on 3rd November 2002. To date no goods received and no payment taken from my CC. I did contact my CC company asking them to block any payment requests shortly afterwards. I never received any reply to e-mails from either firstphoneshop.co.uk or Thawte as I remember. They are a total mystery, why advertise and not deliver or take the money and deliver?

OMG! It's turned up this morning!!! The wrong colour to the one I ordered, but that's not an issue.
Erm..... I think I'll retract my complaint. Am I the only person to have ever received something from these people? |

Surely they're gonna be pissed when they find out they can't get the money?!

Don't give any money yet, wait until they contact you, and then reply to say i paid for nx day didnt get it, so what some sort of discount first. then pay, or not up to them to contact you.
They messed you around, let them chase the money for you |

I have contacted them via the form (cos there's no number etc.) and told them to call my mobile and I will send payment to them. I have another credit card I can use until my other one comes back from being cancelled.
The product works really well though, a car kit for £18 isn't bad at all. I have apologised to them, maybe you others should contact them too and see where your orders are? (lots of blushes)

Hi,
This is absolutely terrible. Worse than that it's a criminal offence to do this. All of you should contact the police. If you require any advice regarding the legalities of internet trading ( known as long distance trading) please feel free to contact my colleague, Greg, at admin@keep-talking.net Regards, John http://www.keep-talking.net |
