Did you freeze a carcass??
![]() Really you need to allow it to defrost at room temperature, then strip the meat off the bone, then heat that thoroughly ensuring it is sizzling hot. |

I often freeze meats & they comeout fine, to save money I often buy a whole chicken & cut it into seperate pieces & then freeze each piece.
But with beef I am very fussy, I will make something like a chilli or a pie of somesort & then freeze it, as with beef when you defrost it you lose a lot of the blood & juices & just doesn't taste the same when cooked, compared to cooked fresh. |

Several years ago some scientists in the (then) USSR discovered a mammoth frozen in the Siberian ice pack. They dug it out, defrosted it and cooked the meat.
Mind you it was probably better than any Russian food at the time. |

Nothing wrong with frozen meat, just make sure that is cooked well when it is defrosted.

We had a leg of Newzealand lamb, on Sunday last, that had been in the freezer for 1 year, it tasted wonderful, bought it from Sainsburys.
