Hey everyone

Can someone please give me a recipe for pastry to put on my hotpot?

It will be gratefully received as, embarrassingly, I haven't a clue where to begin!

Thanks very much

Although I'm generally committed to "cook it from scratch", I usually cheat and use frozen pastry, because home made doesn't taste any better.

Pastry on hotpot? What a curious idea.

I put some bacon on top of mine. By the time it's cooked the bacon is lovely and crispy.

I have some gorgeous family recipes for sweet pastry, but I've never made pastry for savoury things, sorry!

Pastry making is easy. It is just flour, butter and water for shortcrust.

Flaky pastry just flour, butter and salt.
