Hi I really need some help, I have a Pioneer DVR940 HDD/DVD recorder I want to connect the RGB scart from the Digibox to the Recorder. (Now the problem) every time I switch ON “Scart Control” in the digibox menu the pioneer refuses to record anything and says “Copy Protected Program” if I switch OFF “scart control” I can record no problem but its not in RGB quality.

Hi there,

Not sure if I may have the exact answer. But have you tried connecting the TV (RGB) output from the Digibox directly to the AV2 input (again RGB) on the back of the Pioneer? This is worth a try if you haven't already done this.

The reason you get the messgae may be that the machine "thinks" it is receiving copyrite protected recordings. I found this when copying some VHS videos a while back. I had to then connect my VHS to my PC & then was able to continue copying recording. Technology!

Both suggestions may help! Let me know how you get on.

also on page 142 on your manual it describes how to make av 2 / L 1 in rgb

also on page 141 it tells you about Video In/Out

set to PAL not auto .... you may have to choose pal60

then back to 142 with NTSC switch to PAL on

make sure av2 is not set to decoder jusr rgb, even if it is a decoder
