Egyptian Snacks/Food
Any ideas anyone? I've just found out that I need to make some for next week, last to know as usual
Anyway, I CAN use Google but was hoping for some tried and tested recipes that you lot might know. I don't mind making cakes or savoury foods but I really don't want anything that would involved marinating a lamb for 3 weeks or something. And no sheeps eyes ![]() Thanking you in anticipation

Substituting the lemon juice with lime - or using both - makes for a tasty variation. I like to throw a little red onion in, too.

I had a Syrian friend at uni who made this beautifully. Highly recommended

That does sound yum actually. I suppose that I could use lemon balm or lemon mint in place of the sumac?
