Just read a while ago that using or having a cell phone on in the bedroom has shown to disrupt sleeping patterns. It has been shown to cause headaches and poor sleep.

I don't use my phone, but I have left it on 24/7. It was noted that even though the phone isn't in use, nor receiving any messages/calls - the phone still transmits a signal every few minutes to inform the system the phone is on.

Now I already have known about the phone constantly transmitting even though no messages/calls are being made. It makes funny noises in my stereo amplifier, AM radio and even the TV itself. But I never knew that is what could be causing me to have headaches every morning I wake up. Guess I'll have to give it a try by turning off the phone in the evenings and not turning it back on till I get up by around noon.

See i havent found this, my sleep pattern is the same wether mine is on or off all night. However it does interfere with my stereo, pc speakers and clock radio but thats only when the phone is on and near any of them.

'mobile' phones, not 'cell' phones. DS is a British website.

Dude! We have british on our web site and we do not tell them how to type on our forums. They have their lingo - we have ours.

It is a cell phone or "Cell". A "Mobile" is a transiever like a 40 channel CB, Ham radio, or FM transeiver used in a vehicle to talk to other folks.

Oh, I see, you allow the Brits to have their lingo but then proceed to tell us when you think we're wrong?

And over here a FM Transceiver used in a vehicle to talk to another is referred to as a 'Radio'...

To be fair, I did think the original person pulling you up on it came across a little harsh, but it doesn't mean that you had to stoop to their level.

Maybe not but your nation DOES forcibly try to instill its warped version of liberty and freedom on the likes of Iraq and Afghanistan doesn't it.

The research about sleep is massively flawed and the results aren't particularly valid for normal use of a low power RF device like a mobile phone.
