OK, I accept what you say but a letter from someone to him, personally, will simply be filtered by his minders. He's not about to listen to me but a reasoned plea that his pastor have a word with him might make a difference.

I realise he's not proclaiming himself to be spotless or anything but his point-blank refusal to face his own prejudices and spite by confronting the victim gives lie to his stated aim to try to follow the example of Christ. Keeping his beliefs to himself means that he should be trying to show by example. What example, I ask you? If everyone who wanted to be "good" in the Cameron way followed his example, where would that leave us, eh?

No, it needs to be said in such a way that he may listen. I can think of no alternative.

I agree wholeheartedly, but have you done anything constructive to better "the world" that gives you the right to criticise someone else's efforts or focus?

I drink occasionally. I have to say I wouldn't like to go for a drink with Ray either, as he seems pretty unstable. Both he and Cameron have annoyed me for different reasons. And I consider myself tolerant of different ideologies/lifestyles. Just, as I have said, Cameron revealed himself as rather intolerant of some things the HMs did (women drinking, discussing sex (Steff is also rather self-righteous about sex). Mind you, they seem on the whole to be a thoughtless bunch, with perhaps Nush being the least bad (and I didn't like her that much at first). I feel sorry for Lisa, as she hasn't been given a chance to rectify her ways and interact (I think that at least a HM should TRY) - so hope she stays in this week to give the other HMs a shock and perhaps remind them that people generally don't like bullies and will stick up for an underdog.

I wasn't critisising you at all i understand what you are doing and why, i just don't think it was the right way to go about it.

Yes i have done plenty, more than you would think.

Good point, any personal letter is unlikely to reach him. My only hope is that his church treat him gently ,with love and understanding if they choose to take your letter on board.
