How do you charge a BT Hub Phone (1020) without using the Hub base unit via the dock?

The Hub Phone manual says this can be done however the AC charger and charging dock supplied with the phone don't appear to be compatible (terrible connection).

I want to be able to charge my 2nd Hub Phone away from the base unit in another room.

Sounds like you may have a duff unit... the AC adapter should be able to connect (easily) with the small white base unit.
