HOW?

17 NIGHTS X 20,000 = 340,000 VISITORS

340,000X £75= £25,500,000 So every one else on the tour works for free and the 0.2 double the money.
Do the press have to make up stories like this?

Annoying isnt it? Out of the 25mill they have to pay, singers, dancers, stage crew, roadies, band members, cost of hiring 02 etc. Very few bands actually make profit on tours.

5 spice girls = £50million

£25million - £50million = -£25million

Hmm

Also, some of the tickets were cheaper than £50. So they wouldn't have even made that much!

I'd love to know the actual truth. Geri says they wont make a profit yet now we have this story. I think it's bull that they wont make money. All the merchandise etc as well that's being sold will make them a fortune and they keep adding dates. I'd love to go actually, some friends have gone and said it was brilliant.

The papers are claiming all but Victoria are more or less broke. I don't buy into that at all. They've all got plenty of money to live on. Its just the media making up a non story again.

None of the Spice Girls are 'broke'. And I severely doubt they're making this much money from just 17 nights at the 02. Surely the cost of a world tour and keeping everything on the road would be too high for them to be making this much money?

Good for them.
I know loads of people slag them off, but Im sure anyone here wouldnt say no to £10m for singing a few songs a night.

Most tickets were £75 (about 70% of the tickets) and the other 30% were £55. They may have sold a few extra restricted view tickets due to the demand for some nights cheaper than £55 - that is because they opened up some extra seating blocks at the side of the stage on some nights due to the high demand.

I heard they are getting paid 10 million each from their 17 shows they did at o2 Arena.

They will make some money - but the costs involved must also be enormous, it's a massive set, witha band/orchestra, dancers, many costumes and that's just front of stage....

well i read somewhere they estimated that with revenues from

1 a limited world tour
2 worldwide sales of greatest hits
3 tour merchandise

that they had all negotiated a payday of around 5 million each. that seems a little more realistic to me when you consider the enormous costs in staging such a tour in the first place

And the maths is right above your post to prove that they can't possibly have made that much.

When you say 'definitely', what is your source?

They must be earning a fair bit otherwise they would have never agreed to this in the first place.

I don't believe for a second they were driven purely by a "duty" to their fans and not their bank balances.

That makes it right does it? You can't argue with the maths, unless they've magic-ed £25m from somewhere then they have not made that much.
