why does that make him thick?? It would have been stupid to bet the same amount on red and black (if it were possible) as then he would have gotten the same money back! its called gambling you know , taking a risk and all that!

At least he will have no trouble adding up the shopping totals.

And now they have 2 pounds. Only take risks when you're the only one taking them imo.

or nothing if lands on green, so its a stupid choice to bet on both red AND black, you are always better off to keep your money, which he could have done, he did not have to use all the chips.

And he put more on the numbers that he would be allowed to win. What a plonker!

They may have booze left but £2 won't buy much chocolate etc.

he should have had at least a tenner on each at least they would have been able to buy a bit.

did he have to gamble all of it or could he just cash it all in ?

When it comes to gambling he is thick, it makes no sense sticking £1 on black, he would have been as well sticking it on a number and hoping for some luck, for all the good it did putting it on black.

It would have been funnier if it had come up 0 which is green then he wouldn't have won anything.

According to official site
He will be able to gamble as much or as little as he wants, but his housemates will have no say in the matter. They will, however, be able to watch his every move on the plasma screen in the lounge.
Which is bullshit because the other housemates where allowed to advise him before hand.

Not that this did them any good as he was still a plonker and blew the lot or stupid bets!

More total bullshit from the official bullshit site

Barely awake, Scott can hardly comprehend Ray's task...
In fact Scott was the only one that seemed to have any understanding of how roulette works, and was carefully explaining it to Ray

so how are the others reacting,do they think it's ok that Ray gambled all their food away when he didn't have to just so he could drink himself stupid for the 4th consecutive week ?

surely Cameron isn't best pleased, hasn't he showed his fury yet with a raised eyebrow or a furious eyeroll ?

Absolutely - Scott was the only one who had reasonable comments to make - surprise surprise thickest HM ever in the whole of creation (Steph, sorry) just kept repeating 'I wouldn' 'ave a clue' - yes love, we knew that!! Concentrate on cleaning the place to within an inch of its life, that's the way to go - not.

As a matter of interest are they allowed to keep food and provisions from this week into next? I was wondering if they could make stuff and freeze it, or do they clear the freezer and store cupboard at the start of the new week??

Feel sorry for Ray now - I don't think he was ever going to win much, and he tried to 'hedge his bets' as it were, bless, I guess that's the downside to follow the upside they are currently enjoying...

Steph,Scott and Ray were all equally thick and clueless, the difference being Steph admitted to it

Scott and Ray had the sniff of ale and would have gambled all the food away even if the task was constructing a working teapot out of chocolate.

Being a skin-flint, I understood the 'value' of the humour in this...

They carry all stuff over and in fact BB still gives them the staples and some fish and meat by the sound of them talking before.

They had loads of food left for meals last week which is why they risked 100% on the task. Now they are probably down a bit but theres less of them now so I'd bet they have loads of food they can have, thats not going to stop them eating. Maybe make some more bread rather than buy it. And alcohol yes they should still have quite a bit left although they have been at the cider this week.

It's the lack of chocolates and sweets that will hit them the hardest. But then we don't know what will happen with the reward room on Saturday (back to normal I guess, movie room this time surely?) and the odd hamper BB might give them.
