Now this could get really long (and boring for some I suspect!)
In my fridge there is:
Butter, Flora Light, sour dough starters awaiting refreshing, soya yogurts, natural yogurt, hummus, tapenade, olives, cottage cheese, feta, cheddar, parmesan, halloumi, vine tomatoes, pomodorino tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, radicchio, cauliflower, broccoli, leeks, celery, jerusalem artichokes, aubergines, shallots, peppers, garlic, ginger, red and green chillies, lemongrass, fresh coriander, parsley & oregano, lettuce, cucumber, fresh beetroot, lemons, limes, leftover saag paneer & dhal from the other night, bottled beer, orange juice, lemonade, soya milk. Hopefully, there's nothing lurking at the back turning green and hairy!

(There's no room for the root veg, which is currently in the coldest place in the house - the verandah)

Its a bit on the full side as my 3 weekly Tesco order and my organic veg box have been delivered in the last few days.

Blimey, I thought I had a lot! I have vine tomatoes too, but I keep them in the larder, luckily I have a nice walk-in one, as I think they taste better when slightly warmer.

Lets see:

My side: 2 packets bacon, 3 dozen eggs, butter, coconut oil, 2 pints cream, 3 types of cheese, cold chicken from yesterday, mayo, defrosting beef for tea today, pint of raw milk.

The other side: who cares, they can eat what they want, it's none of my business but it looks like green stuff and some milk, marg, and a blueberry yoghurt.

Er.... what do you mean "raw"? Do you mean full fat? or literally uncooked?

You are so lucky! My pantry is very small, you could walk in - if you're about 3'6" - it's more of a 'stoop in' pantry! Has a window and what is called a cold shelf but it's not really cold enough for fresh stuff.

You're right - tomatoes and other salad stuff tastes better at room temperature, I'd never eat tomatoes straight from the fridge. I work with guys who religiously store their packed lunches in the fridge here and fetch them out bang on lunchtime and eat them freezing cold - makes me shudder just to contemplate eating an icy butty!

It's a liquid laxative It's not for me I may add, it's for youngest child, but it just looks odd when it's stuck in the fridge next to the milk and such

I tried keeping my coconut oil in the fridge before, but found i needed a hammer and chisel to be able to use it. Now it lives happily on the counter top

I prefer it in the fridge because I can chip off a lump and let it melt in the mouth a bit slower. I don't like it when it turns liquid, I'm afraid of spilling it. I prefer my fats solid.

i just opened a carton of orange juice which i knew had been in the fridge a long time - it was brown liquid, when I looked at the date it said march 2006!

I knew that every time i cleaned the fridge I took it out and put it back in without opening it but i had no idea it had been that long!

There isnt a great deal in the fridge at the moment, but its sparkling clean as i just cleaned it -

lettuce
half a carrot
half a cucumber
half a tin oif sweetcorn
lemon slices
one egg
jam
salad cream
mayonnaise
assorted jams and sauces

must go to the supermarket
