You cannot vote Lisa out and then complain the show is boring. So, let’s not make the same mistakes we’ve made before by voting out the most interesting characters first — I give you Anouska, Federico and Mr Tickle....''

I'm a detractor of Dominic but for this cause he could be more than influential:- I pledge and add support to 'save Lisa'...

Throughout this series the central core of bores (Scott, Steph, Ray, Cameron, Nush, Gos) have been picking on those HMs that they feel are taking the camera's alttention away from them. Getting Lisa out is a continuation of this policy.

Controversy is good, but she is so damn annoying she makes you want to turn off!

She is annoying but for the sake of BB we need to keep her in for another week.

Remember how dull it was before she arrived?

Cameron and Steph will have an added smugness and there will be no one for them to bitch about.

If Lisa goes then it'll be the end of BB4 for me. At least the American series looks as if it could be interesting. Maybe the BBUSA producers could sort out BB5 for us as the Endemol UK have seriously f**ked things up this year.

They seem to have failed to notice that she has given up. Yes she did stir things up and it was required, but most of the time she now sits on her own smoking herself to death.

As Ray so nicely asked, please vote Lisa out for her own sake, she is totally isolated, that won't change and keeping her in would be an act of mental cruelty.

I agree - what is so compelling about watching someone sat on their own all day feeling bad about being excluded .

The sun of course has an extremely poor record in it's backing of BB housemates so do they actually have a different agenda in their support for Lisa.

The reason they like backing loser's is they will be the only paper supporting the Evicted housemate and therefore are much more likely to stike an exclusive deal with the evictee.

Dominic Mohan's article reflected a lot of posts on DS:BB, but although we would agree with what he says, it depends on how other people look at it.

Judging by the RI:SE poll, and online polls, it looks as if The Sun's campaign isn't going to save Lisa from being evicted.

So I guess Big Brother isn't dumbing down the working classes, no hold on I did hear Steph and Cameron chat about apples. Oh and the one where Lisa said "George Orwell invented Big Brother" was so insightful.

As the Viz once wrote in their TV review "News night special - Is there a dumbing down of TV?- hosted by Dale Winton and Irene out of Drive School."

Big brother is an experimental show which has Orwellian origins, the tactile viewer can find the smallest iconic genstures construe the largest truths.

Dumbing down is a byproduct of our current media - whore generation, the bible has been replaced with the TV guide and the resultant is dead-eyed call center workers, who seem to be everywhere.

I`m sure the percentage of people who post to this board fall in to the above category - I myself am an exception.

Big brother is not even close to having "Orwellian origins" apart from the name. The hm's are allowed freedom of thought and action...up until a certain point. Its more like a standard prison/holiday camp rather than the "thought police" idea of 1984.

When has the media ever been intelligent? Give me references when this dumbing down began, its always been this constant just the Monarchy and the Upper classes are being replaced by celebs, some who are working class. This is the only change, I don’t think the masses have ever been treated anything other than contempt. Look at the current lies about the war in Iraq.

The bible is one of tools used by organised religion to dumb the masses. You only have to look at Darwin's theory of Natural Selection. The church hounded that man for daring to question anything other than the bible. Also look at the Catholic churches insistence that contraception is immoral, even though the spread of HIV is rife through out the lands where it has a large influence. I could go on but is lunch time.

Lastly there has always been a massive, disillusioned work force, who grind themselves into the ground for the profit of a small minority. Its just that the mines have been replaced by the call centres.

I think that lisa is as boring as all the other house mates now, as she has keeps threatening to let them know how she feels but never actually does anything of the sort and she just sits about on the settee or takes herself off to bed. If she is such good television how comes i always want to turn channels whenever she is on the screen . If she would only stop going on about how good looking she is and how much she is liked by cardiff and how she is the best at everything and she seems to have experienced everything there is to experience maybe I would be able to bear her on my screen.

I do have an opinion about why they are all so boring they all know what not to do and what is not exceptable from previous programmes and unfortunately that is boring tv maybe the press are to judgemental of the likes of Jade and Helen and no-one wants to inflict that on themselves do they.

For someone who considers themselves an intellectual you are very misguided and a bit of an intellectual snob. At least the Sun doesn't pretend to be something its not. Can you say that about yourself? Kafka? Wow I am impressed, I'm suprised you have time to watch BB and write away on these message boards, which of course aren't dumbing down the masses and distracting them from how terrible their call centre jobs are.

Of course the CNN never lies, that is why we never saw what actually happens when a "friendly missile" hits a civilian area. I guess when John Simpson complained about the censorship by the army he was just having a laugh. Anyhoo a wee bit too heavy a subject to debate on a BB forum. I'm sure the BBC doesn't have any form of censorship as well, CH4 of course aren't guitlay of editing BB to get a story out of nothing. Maybe you should read Noam Comsky about how the media manipulates the public into war.

she is very good at spouting what she is going to do in the diary room, and that she is going to say things and wont sit back any more but when she comes out the diary room she is dumb, where is all the rows she promised us, she only says it in there knowing we see it and keep her in waiting for it to happen
