Atomic Kitten were on Scott Mills' show on Radio 1 this afternoon between 4.30pm and 5.00pm promoting their comeback.

They also had the girl from X Factor (whose family were compared to the Flumps).

Scott thought it'd be nice to help Emma the X Factor girl out and get them to sing with two of Atomic Kitten who were in the studio. So they were rehearsing 'Whole Again' during the news. Then Atomic Kitten's management threw a strop and pulled them from the interview saying they weren't to sing.

Not good PR for the girls. They seemed really up for it too.

yah cause its fact atomic kitten can't sing, imagine them singing whole again live???? no wonder they were told not to.

so if atomic kitten are getting back together for good, we can be treated to more cover versions of all your old favourites with the lines "its alright, its ok" been thrown into ever f'in song they do.

No, the original group (well original from after Kerry Katona left) has re-formed especially for Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture. The single they are releasing is hoped to secure Liverpool's 57th number 1 single (the city has more number 1's than any other city in the world).

It's available via download from iTunes etc from today, but the fact is isn't available as a physical release will definately impact its chances.

I don't think anything has been announced about the longer term future for them. If this single does respectably well, it may see them stick around for a while longer.
