What's the best brand of oven chips?
I normally buy McCain's Home Fries but I often find them very dry and cardboard-y. What's the best brand of chip which tastes more like a fried chip?

I don't think any oven chip can ever taste like a fried one tbh.

None of them are anywhere near as nice tasting as frying chips.

the ones I make myself are ultimately the nicest.
Cut up a potato into wedges, toss with a bit of olive oil, paprika and pepper, 30 minutes in an oven at 200c, yum

McCain Home Fries used to be nice, but you are right, these days they are not very tasty!

Sheddy is right - chop up a potato into wedges, par-boil for about 8 mins, place on a baking tray with some olive oil, salt, pepper and chilli flakes if required, bake in a hot oven for 25-30 mins. Much better than any frozen chippy

Tesco Finest Chunky Oven Chips.
And, they have the added benefit of not having an advert featuring plastic people going "mm-mm-mmm crispy" that I wish to kill in the most perverse ways conceivable. |

Agree with both of the above, no frozen oven chip tastes good, they are ALL dry and powdery.
