Beko TV Refund - please advise
I have had Beko 28" widescreen TV for about 2-3 months now, and was wondering whether it would still be possible to get a full refund from where I bought it (Sainsbury's).
They seem to have no refund policy as such and weren't even sure how long I had to take it back when I bought it. I haven't left it a long time intentionally, but I'm sick of the awful colours and bad picture quality. I paid £249,99. Please advise. Jon. |

If it is not of merchantable quality you can return the TV within a reasonable period of time. If the problems existed when you purchased the TV then I would say as long as you return in 2/3 months you should get a refund. SO DO IT NOW!!!

If the TV is working (albeit rather crappily) then it's going to be hard to get a refund after several months. You're generally able to get a full refund within the first 30 days assuming there's a fault, many stores do a refund within 14 days or 30 days even if there;s no fualt. If after 30 days a fault occurs, you're generally going to get the TV repaired or replaced.
Some stores operate different schemes, but the above is typically the basic level you can expect. To be honest, you've left it a bit too late to complain that you don't like the TV.... unless it's got worse or faulty you may find the store won't refund you.. and legally the shop probably isn't responsible to do so either..... You could try and see the manager, explain that you thought you'd try the TV to make sure it wasn't just your imagination, but say you've now decided that it's just a poor product after comparing it to many others. |
