Somebody has somehow switched the subtitles on when watching freeview. I am unable to find anywhere in the menu to turn subtitles on or off. I have had to do a complete reset to get rid of them. I have contacted Sony twice but have had no reply. The only place I can find subtitles in the menu is just to select the subtitle language. Can anybody help PLEASE.

to me it sounds as if a reset was all it needed

most equipment now a days including freeview/ sky boxes need a reset once in a blue moon

No. What I need is to find where the option to turn the subtitles on and off is. A complete reset is not the correct way to do it. There must be an answer but I cannot find it. I have searched thru the PDF manual and cannot find this. Has Sony missed this out?

It's a button on the remote ( 2nd row up on the left under the flap, marked with 4 dots) not an option in the menu's.

Today I received a call from Sony about my problem. The call agent was unable to tell me how to turn the subtitles off and when I told her I had found the answer she asked me tell her to help them!!!!!
