Podcasts and iPods
Kargo

Hi Guys

Having read on the apple website that to get the best battery life on an ipod is to have files less then 9MB.. does this apply to podcasts too? I have just downloaded a Podcast from iTunes and it is just over 24MB.

It's just because the iPod loads the tracks into cache, meaning the hard drive won't have to spin all the time to allow the file to be accessed, it's loaded into memory. But when the cache file is played out, the iPod has to load the next part of it, meaning the battery life will be affected slightly but not a lot.
