Ordered a new phone line but no installation date
How long does it usually take for them to install a new line?

I also didn't get an install date when I ordered a new BT Line. I phoned them up and got passed between 4 different call centres before I hung up.
I emailed them twice and finally got an answer that it would be almost three weeks till my install date. They said it would be connected on 11th Feb and I'll let you know if it does. Anyway I recommend e-mailing BT Residential Services [residential.services@bt.com] and asking. Don't bother phoning them no one will know what your talking about, who you are or even what planet your phoning from and they will be surprised by the fact that anyone bothered to stay on the line after listening to an age of crappy hold Music. Just wish they would hurry up so I can go sort out ordering my Broadband from someone else. |

A BT engineer came first thing Monday morning and installed my phone line just like they said. Its just a shame your have to contact them first to find this out, they should just give you a connection date when your order.
Anyway I now have my new BT line but I still can't order my Sky Broadband because there site won't recognise my new number. Apparently it will take a few days for my new number to be updated in there database so the broadband checker won't work till then. Arg. |
