I just find it :
1) boring - as has been said, what is so special about it? It reminds me of all the hype over that equally chav tastic "pretty green eyes" by ultrabeat a few years ago - some europop git singing about three lines throughout the whole song. It's one of those songs that people who drink themselves into a stupor on awful cheap imitations of smirnoff ice in nightclubs on a 2 for 1 deal who will dance to anything as they're so drunk and can't think like.
2) depressing - it's in a minor key and all that "now you're gone, I miss you" business is just what people who are single just before valentine's day really DON'T need. My poor mate was driven to tears the other night when this came on, I kid you not. Admittedly she was a bit drunk but it proves my point - the song is just depressing!
3) it is, as has been said, dated. The europop dance sound to me just sounds tacky and a bad reminder of the 90s. I remember getting asked to play stuff like ultrabeat's "pretty green eyes" around 2003 which was equally as dire by pikey types wearing kappa tracksuits from about 10 years ago and some stained hoodie at wedding parties looking like the poor relation and thinking "yep, these are the sort who still listen to this rubbish."
I think most of us happily or in my case grudgingly did the euro dance thing with all those awful acts in the early - mid 90s. Apart from kids who weren't there at that time, I think most people my age (23 and above) have long grown up and out of it now.
Sadly folks, I think Adele's 'chasing pavements' will go down as being another of those good no 2 hits that got stuck behind a truly awful no 1 - just like:
T. Rex's 'Solid Gold easy action' (stuck behind Jimmy Osmond's 'long haired lover from liverpool'

)
Ultravox's 'Vienna' (stuck behind Joe Dolce - shaddap you face - yep, need I say more!) Heck, the Adele stuck behind the Basshunter is the modern day equivalent! Homegrown talent stuck behind some faceless git from the continent.
DNA & Suzanne Vega's 'Tom's diner' which basically summed up 1990 music for a lot of people - it was a great club track and was kept off by Bombalurina's 'itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini.' NICE!
James - Sit Down (kept off by Chesney Hawkes' 'The one and only' -

)
