qtrax - What a load of hype

Saw in the paper today about a p2p music provider called qtrax that would enable you to download music free of charge from the major record labels. Revenue would be produced from the advertisements.

Of course you go to the website and it is not working - Me thinks it is a load of hype.

Turns out that they have not agreed terms with any of the major record labels.

Yeah, I've just been to the website and tried to download the software with no success.

It does say beta download available at midnight EST though (which I think would be 5 am tomorrow for us) so maybe something will happen then?

It is a bit annoying after reading on all the newspaper websites today how great it will be!!

Just found this on mashable.com. Looks like there's problems with the licensing agreements.

You would think they would have had everything in place before they launched.

Cheeky so and so's just got a bit of national exposure on BBC News 24. But at least there was someone in the studio to say 'don't bother, for now'.
