Have not been able to connect my new Sony DVD 870 through Casablanca. Any suggestions please?

having difficulty connecting Sony DVD 870 via Casablanca

Casablanca is an editing system for editing video film from a camcorder.
Using a scart connection from the casablanca and the s-lead into the sony 870 there is an unstable picture colour constantly changes.
When using a yellow video jack from the casablanca and a yellow video jack into the DVD the picture is ok.
Maybe this is an unusual problem but could do with any advice!

Sounds like the Casablanca perhaps isn't outputing S-Video properly?, try it directly into the S-Video socket on your TV.

sorry to say there is no s-input on the tv.
