I've got my 870 linked directly to my Sony TV with a fully wired SCART lead.
However, I've noticed despite having the output set to RGB, and plugged into the correct SCART input on the TV for RGB, that on initial 'boot-up' it only gives me what seems to be a composite picture (garrish colours, contrasty outlines etc).
It stays like this until I do something else, like bring up a menu or change a channel, after which my nice sharp and tastefully coloured RGB picture re-appears.
Any ideas why?
My Topfield PVR never had this problem when it was the main input. (Now it switches through the Sony).
