No Caller Display Service
Well after 18 months of customer service problems with Talktalk, i reverted to BT last week. But you know what? i'm begining to think i should have stayed with TT.
After changing back to BT, they told me my line wouldnt support broadband, but my postcode of 20 houses shows 3 mb availablity. All my neighbours have 3 megs, and i used to with TT, but BT say it wont support BB?? Anyway hope that gets sorted out soon. But yesterday, after ordering caller display a week ago, i phoned up 150 to see what has happended to the caller display, that should have been working the following day - Reply, weve got a national fault with caller display & 1571 - sorry!! Just wondered if anyone else is getting this linie from BT? - I'm beginning to think of paying the minimum contract penalty & going back to TT - at least things used to work!!! |

Yes I had the same response last autumn when I reverted to BT when TT cut me off without warning and for no reason. It took me ages and hours and hours on the phone. What u want is BT Privacy which is free Caller ID, registers u with the TPS and it (may do but not entirely sure) keep u out of the Phone Book.
Try calling Customer Services as soon as u can after 8am when most people are on their way to work, otherwise get a flask of tea and listen to how important your call is to BT while watching Jeremy Kyle! |

Are you planing on having BT for broadband or one of the many other providers that offer broadband without you having to move line rental to them.

Interesting and thanx for that, Heinz. I'be been sent a reminder for a GB account for nearly £100 although I have an NE account. Never had a breakdown of any GB account and when I queried it with India billing one operator said my account was clear, the other said it was still owing and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was cut off

Sounds like your account has, for some reason, been moved from the old computer system onto WLR3 (which would account for the change of prefix from NE to GB) and that's when your problems started.
All the existing accouts that have been migrated to the new system have kept their old prefix such as NE, ND, CL etc. Do you have broadband and a telephone? New customers since last summer would have a GB account for their phone line and another prefix for their BB bill (Dependent on location, NE- North East etc) |
