Help with Orange upgrade
Hello,
I could do with some help re. Orange upgrades. Essentially, I am on their Premier programme and I'm out of my 12-month contract and I've been told I can have any phone for free. And that's where the problem is. I need the following: - Wi-Fi - 3G - Cam - Decent-sized/expandable memory - Multimedia capabilities - Symbian/Windows Mobile etc - Bluetooth (A2DP) - MSN I had the SE w960 down as my next ideal phone (currently I have W950) however I don't believe this is to be released on Orange. Also, I was looking at N95 8GB however no info on Orange. Can anyone think of any other handsets that would meet my requirements? I have to stay with Orange as I'm locked in with Line 2. Does anyone know of any high-end phones likely to be released soon? Thanks in advance. Mark. |

Why not get an N95-1 and put an 8gb card in it?

Change product code, download latest firmware. Easy and makes a massive change to the N95-1.

If I'm not mistaken, the HTC Dual doesn't have WiFi.

Well, I've gone for the HTC Tytn II. The original Orange rep told me it didn't have Wi-Fi so I didn't take him up on it, however having looked at it on the web (it gets consistently excellent reviews), I've decided to give this a try.
I've got a good deal, too: Free handset! I've seen it for £400 +VAT SIM-free 12-month contract 500 mins/500 texts £15 per month Free Jabra Bluetooth headset Free 30M data per month (I am getting a Voda 3G card for the laptop) Plus a load of options for reduced roaming rates. Is there anything else I should have asked for? In all likeliness, I do spend £1k per year with them so I can understand their generosity. |

How do you spend over £1k a year with them if you're on a tarrif for £15 a month with 500 minutes! You go ridiculously over that? |

plus some data charges.Apparently, I have all the options enabled to reduce my roaming charges. I never use my full UK mins and texts. £1k per year is approc £80pm. I have reduced line rental by £10pm, plus I will now have 30M free data per month. I'm hoping to reduce these costs somewhat by using Skype over Wi-Fi on this new handset. Plus, I'll be able to email more easily on the move - reducing text msg costs. I want to bring my spend down by 30-50% (New Year's resolution and all that).
