Itunes advice

Hi

I currently have itunes setup on my laptop, the laptop has lowe memory therefore once i have put the tunes on my ipod i delete from itunes, they then just appear when i plug my ipod in.

I have bought a new macbook pro and wish to now have itunes on there instead. Although i dont need to transfer music across, will my original downloaded songs on my ipod stay there if i start updating from a different laptop?

I hope this makes sense
thanks

they will appear on your ipod, but they wont be on your new macbook.

Unless the new ipods are different, they won't stay there. Your ipod has to be 'synced' to one itunes library. Syncing it to another library means wiping it and starting from scratch.

Perhaps there's a way around this that I'm unaware of.

No when you first plug your iPod into your new computer it will ask you to wipe your iPod because it can't be synced to more than one computer.

but if you set it to manually manage music when you plug it in any pc you will just be able to drag and drop your music onto your ipod in iTunes
