I don't really like the 90's anything like as much as the 80's but there were some gems, the Banderas track already mentioned, 'This is your life' is one of my favourites, I recently bought the album 'Ripe' second hand off Amazon and it's well worth a listen imo.

I used to love Dubstar:

Stars

Not so manic now

And this one from Sleeper:

Nice guy Eddie

Also the wonderful Sophie B Hawkins:

Damn, I wish I was your lover

Can I just say - if an act is forgotten after 8 years or so, perhaps they should be.

How so? The digital age means I've probably heard a billion tracks between now and 8 to 18 years ago. I've forgotten lost of tracks, many people have. Please leave us to delve into our record collections if you don't rate the music

Cranes are quite forgotten as well:

They both have um... interesting female vocalists, I suppose they were the British equivalent to riot grrl in a sense.

Daisy Chainsaw might have been a bit Riot Grrl-ish but without taking themselves too seriously. The Cranes were more Shoegazy or like 4AD bands like the Cocteau Twins or Dead Can Dance. The singer was very cute, though.

I wouldn't say Supergrass have been forgotten. They have a bit, but not hugely

They supported Arctic Monkeys last year - should be the other way round really.

but you HAVEN'T forgotten these acts...

do you know how many a billion is? even at 2 minutes a track (very short) that's 120 seconds x 1,000,000,000 (minimum) - divide that by 60x24x365 = 228 thousand years - and that is with 2 minute tracks.

a quarter of a million years if excel is to be believed.

I've seen Supergrass, me.
