I had to spend most of the 90s look and dressing like Micky from Lush...on my boyfriends orders

Stiltskin...Indie was a gret song, can't remember the ad that made it famous..didn't the singer go off and join Genisis or amI comfusing him with someon else?

Bush..were they much bigger in the States? I remember buying Swallowed...nothing else

Whoda thought two of those band members would end up making Gwen Stefani and Geri Halliwell pregnant?

Anyone remember Shampoo? They were doing 'Girlpower' about two years before the Spice Girls came along, and they did it much better to.

A bit of Irish early 90's indie.......

Sultans Of Pinc FC - Where's Me jumper?

Frank & Walters - Happy Busman (first song I bought on cd, come to think of it)
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=7JJLbjM9P54

A House - Endless Art

Sorry I don't think these are all the original videos.......

Funny to remember the days when Setanta was a record label, not a satellite station............

As someone who regards the 80`s as my `youth time` and took the early 90`s rave scence to grow into adulthood it`s strange how music so recent can seem more dated than older music. The last group I really followed as in seeing live ext were Blur and in the mid 90`s I LOVED the songs `For Tomorrow` and `End of a Century` yet I`ve never listened to those 2 songs since that time as I believe they`ve dated. The Tasmin Archer one brings back great memories of a former partner and it`s rally hard to believe it was 16 years ago.
Talking of Britpop does anyone remeber a group called Mensware?

Similarly, Tasmin Archer was number one when I met my girlfriend. We've been married twelve years now........

Yeah, I remember Menswear.......history has tainted them as zeitgeist grabbing, Britpop bandwagon jumpers..... but I thought they had some good songs for all that......'Being Brave' for example......

Yeah...they used to sit in the Good Mixer in Camden looking cool ...er...but then so was I (what a sadcase) I loved 'Being brave'. They basically capsized under their own hype..which they got from good looks, really. Although, they weren't actually that good looking in real life, they just had before-their-time Toni and Guy emo type haircuts.

I am *sure* that line came from a Hanif Kureshi film (London Kills me)..no evidence on the net though.

If you liked Len, did you also like Bran Van 3000?

The Discosis album is probably more immediately accessible than Glee, from which Drinking in LA is taken. But they have a new(ish) CD out called Rose. Check out Call Me (I'll be around). Great song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hIkpjTS3Gk

(takes a while to get going and there is no video proper video but I still love the song)

Never cool really,apparently.... I love them to death though, having discovered them late....it's Mansun.

I adore both 90s albums Attack of the Grey Lantern which gave us the likes of Wide open Space, Taxloss and Stripper Vicar.

And Six which gave us Negative, Being a Girl and Legacy.
But the first two albums have tracks just as good as any Mansun single..The Chad Who Loved Me, Shotgun and Anti-Everything spring to mind. Oh..and I fancy them too (I know..34..should know better...shallow...)

The vid for Taxloss features throwing £25k cash at communters...watch it here:

Negative - also stylish vid: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8fuHuC...eature=related

Wide Open Space: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=tj7aNP...eature=related

Stripper vicar: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LbMqdix6C_A

Legacy: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vYUOCM...eature=related

According to Wiki, Paul Draper has had cancer and chemo and is currently working on new projects
