I found some of those elusive Wicken Fen sausages today!!!

In Holland & Barrett!

@ The Unknown One - They had your favourite, Tomato & Garlic, and also Mediterranean Roasted Vegetable. I bought both! Looking forward to trying them soon

I bought some Wicken Fen Carrot and Coriander sausages in Waitrose at the weekend. All the varieties are good.

I just spotted this thread. With Waitrose being a bit far to go to regularly, it's good to see Wicken Fen products appearing elsewhere. Out of interest, how much were Holland & Barrett selling them for? I seem to recall the last time I got some from Waitrose they were around £1.80 a pack.

I haven't tried the Mediterranean Roasted Vegetable yet. I'll have to give them a try.

Thanks for the heads up.

They were £1.99 in H&B. I had the tomato & garlic ones yesterday, just with mash, peas and sweetcorn, and some left-over pasta sauce. They were very nice! .

£1.99 still isn't too bad. It would cost me more than the extra 19p in fuel to get them from Waitrose, and they don't seem to stock the Mediterranean Vegetable version either, so it looks like I'm off to Holland & Barrett soon.

Just spotted this thread - I've not heard of these before but can I ask are they meat substitute i.e. tvp or quorn or are they just vegetables in a sausage shape? I don't like the ones that have the texture of meat.

Carrot and Coriander ingredients:

Water, Soya Protein Concentrate, Grated Carrot (11%), Tomato Puree, Onion, Potato Starch, Vegetable Oil, Stabilisers (methyl cellulose), Yeast Extract (Salt), Dry Coriander (0.27%), Cumin Powder, Flavouring, Maltodextrin, Black Pepper.

They have quite a coarse texture, the grated carrot is noticeable, but they're still sausagey in style.
