S-Video vs Component-Scart

A friend of mine is buying the Sony DAV550 which has an S-Video output and a component video output. His TV has an S-Video port and an RGB scart. My question is how should he connect the two together to get the best picture:

a. S-Video - S Video

b. Component video - RGB scart socket via a converter such as this one:

My guess is S-Video but I could be wrong.

Thanks

hmm, interesting, of course RGB/component is said to be better than S-video, but it depends on how good the conversion would be.

if its a good conversion then i would think RGB would be better, probably one of those things that you wont know till you try. Of course I have read a minority of reports from people who prefer S-video in the first place anyway....

I was wondering as to how good the conversion would be too, that is my main reason for thinking that the S-Video may be better. Given the choice between S-Video and Component without any conversion I would go for component.

Thanks for the response.
