I rather they hype albums like Adele's than the tripe Leona Lewis was made to record. A waste of a decent voice. |

I agree with Major, The radio stations have played her track to death.. She's got a good voice but the song is ordinary.

Whether people like her or not at least the album chart has variety the other three artists with a number 1 album this year(radiohead, Amy macdonald, scouting for girls) are all different and british. It's better than hiphop album after hiphop album clogging up the charts

I heard it the other day and her singing got on my nerves. It was very repetitive. |

The album was always going to go to number 1 given all the industry hype but it will be interesting to watch future sales.
She's a nice girl & her material is ok, just not AMAZING like the gullible public have been led to believe. |

Her voice is uninspiring and so is the song.

I tried chasing pavements once, but they didn't move anywhere, so it wasn't much of a challenge.

Another thing that made me laugh was an item about autographs on the One Show recently. Adrian Chiles asked an 'expert' whose autograph should we try and snap up now, in the expectation that it will shoot up in value when the person becomes so famous that an autograph is almost impossible to get. The 'expert' nominated Adele! On the basis of one single that had been hyped up to number two, (not even a number one) and an album that hadn't been released yet.I predict that in twelve months time, Adele's autograph will be worth as much as Just Jack's is now. ![]() (Loosely related, a girl I went to school with wrote off to Granada TV for a signed picture of Jude Law, when he was acting in a daytime soap opera in about 1990 - before anyone had really heard of him . That's real autograph talent spotting) |
